LET’S GET GRILLING!

Schaschliksauce_Magazin.jpg

The evenings are getting longer and temperatures are rising – spring is on its way. In other words, it’s time to get grilling! Together with barbecue staples like steak, sausages and baked potatoes, it’s often the side dishes that really make a difference when it comes to good grilling. Homemade salads and sauces not only tend to be fresher and healthier than ready-made products, but also taste much better. You can whip up easy barbecue sauces in no time at all with your Monsieur Cuisine.

FINDING THE RIGHT SAUCE

Tomato-based sauces go well with flavoursome meat, and, depending on the taste, you can add bacon, pepper and smoked salt to give a smoky note. Sweet, fruity sauces are great with white meat like chicken or turkey. Fruity sauces are particularly delicious if they have a bit of a kick to them; ginger and a hint of chilli make ideal additions. By contrast, light, creamy sauces are delicious with vegetables – yoghurt, sour cream and soft cheese form the perfect base. Add some herbs, lemon juice and seasonings, and you're done – just what you need to jazz up roast potatoes, vegetable skewers and antipasti.

GIVE YOUR BARBECUE A SPRING CLEAN

Before you get grilling, you have to get your barbecue spring-ready. Grill grates are easy to clean with a wire brush, while a mild cleaning product and a rough-sided sponge will get the interior of your barbecue sparkling once again. Tip: after cleaning, grease the grill grate with a little cooking oil, so that newly cooked food won’t get stuck to the grate again.

TEMPERATURE MONITORING WITH BLUETOOTH

If you’re cooking meat, making pulled pork or attempting a more elaborate barbecue dish, a heat-resistant thermometer can help you maintain an optimal temperature. Bluetooth-enabled devices allow you to check the temperature with ease using your smartphone. Browse through our recipe section and discover fantastic dishes for the perfect barbecue experience. Bon appétit!
