Apple and carrot juice with lemon balm
- Peel and quarter the apples, remove the core and cut into pieces 2.5 cm long. Trim and peel the carrots and also cut into pieces 2.5 cm long. Put the carrots into the blender jug and, with the measuring beaker in place, chop finely for 20 seconds/speed setting 6. If necessary, use the spatula to scrape the mixture down the inside of the blender jug and repeat the previous step.
- Use the spatula to scrape the mixture down the inside of the blender jug again and add the apple pieces. With the measuring beaker in place, chop finely for 30 seconds/speed setting 8. Use the spatula to scrape down the inside of the blender jug.
- Wash the lemon balm and remove the leaves from the stalks. Put the remaining ingredients into the blender jug with 400 ml cold water and, with the measuring beaker in place, blend for 1 minute/speed settings 6–10, increasing the speed gradually until you have a creamy juice. Pour into 4 glasses and serve.
If you like your juice less thick, add a little more orange juice to it.
