Apple and chestnut smoothie bowl

  • 120 g chestnuts (vacuum-packed)
  • 200 ml kefir
  • 2 tbsp honey (to taste)

  • 50 g blueberries
  • 4 tbsp granola
  • a sprinkling of cinnamon

  1. Peel the apples and cut them into rough quarters. Place the apple pieces in the blender jug along with the chestnuts and kefir and blend to a thick purée for 2 minutes/speed setting 8. Work up to setting 8 by going through 5–6–7 first. Sweeten with honey to taste and mix once more. Divide the mixture between two bowls.
  2. To make the topping, wash the apple, remove the core and slice it into thin wedges. Wash the blueberries and pat dry. Arrange the apple wedges in a fan shape in the middle of the smoothie. Sprinkle over the blueberries. Scatter the granola around the edge. Dust with a little cinnamon and serve immediately.
