Bircher Muesli

  • 2 apples (240 g)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 200 g fine oat flakes
  • 300 g Greek yoghurt (10% fat)
  • 20 g honey
  • 600 ml milk at room temperature (UHT, 3.5% fat)

  1. Wash and quarter the apples, and remove their cores. Put them into the blender jug, and, with the measuring beaker in place, chop for 4 seconds/speed setting 7. Use the spatula to scrape down the inside of the blender jug.
  2. Add the lemon juice, oat flakes, yoghurt, honey and milk, and, with the measuring beaker in place, mix for 20 seconds/speed setting 3.
  3. Decant into a container with lid and allow to infuse in the refrigerator for 8 hours overnight.

 

TIP

Enhance your muesli with fresh fruit, berries, or dried fruit or nuts of your choice. Toasted nuts also go very well with muesli. Dry-fry them in the morning and sprinkle over the cereal.
