Green cabbage and lime smoothie with coconut water

  • 150 g green cabbage
  • 2 springs mint
  • 2 unwaxed limes
  • 2 pears
  • 250 ml coconut water
  • handful of ice cubes
  • mineral water to taste

  1. Wash the green cabbage thoroughly and pull the leaves apart roughly. Wash the mint, shake it dry and tear off the leaves. Wash the limes in hot water and pat dry. Cut off the peel of one of the limes using the point of a knife, and then squeeze out both limes. Add the lime juice and the peel to the blender jug.
  2. Wash the pears and remove the stalks, and cut into quarters; you can also remove the cores if you wish. Put all of the prepared ingredients into the blender jug and blend them for 2 minutes/speed setting 8. Work up to setting 8 by going through 5, 6 and 7 first. Add the ice cubes and mix everything for 20 seconds/speed setting 8 until the mixture is thick but smooth. You can thin the smoothie with a little mineral water to suit your taste.
