Home-made peanut butter
- Place 50 g peanuts in the blender jug, insert the measuring beaker and process for 8 seconds/speed setting 7. Transfer to a bowl.
- Put the sugar in the blender jug, insert the measuring beaker and process for 10 seconds/speed setting 10 until you have a fine powder.
- Add the rest of the peanuts, insert the measuring beaker and process for 30 seconds/speed setting 10. Use the spatula to push the mixture back down into the container, then add the peanut oil and mix for 30 seconds/speed setting 7. Push the mixture back down into the container again with the spatula.
- Finally, add the chopped peanuts to the blender jug and mix everything using the reverse button/20 seconds/speed setting 1. Transfer to sealable jars.
For a smooth peanut butter, finely blend all the peanuts as described in step 3.
This peanut butter can be used as a spread on bread, in Asian dishes or as a basis for other recipes, such as baked treats.
