Lamb’s lettuce smoothie with orange and avocado

  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 150 g lamb’s lettuce
  • 3 oranges
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 handful ice cubes

  1. Soak the hemp seeds in cold water for about 1 hour. Drain in a sieve. Put the seeds in the blender jug with 100 ml fresh water and process to a smooth purée for 1 minute/speed setting 9, gradually increasing the speed incrementally from 7 to 8 to 9.
  2. Wash and trim the lamb’s lettuce and put it in the blender jug. Peel the oranges, remove any pips, chop the flesh and put in the blender jug. Scoop out the avocado flesh and add it to the other ingredients in the blender jug. Add 100 ml water and blend it all until smooth for 2 minutes/speed setting 9. Add the ice cubes and process them with the other ingredients for 20 seconds/speed setting 6 until the mixture is a smooth consistency.
