- Wash and quarter the lemons and remove any pips. Put the halved lemons, sugar and 500 ml cold water into the blender jug and, with the measuring beaker in place, chop for 5 seconds/speed setting 10.
- Pour another 500 ml cold water into the blender jug, then pour the lemonade through a fine-meshed sieve into a jug or glasses. Add ice cubes if you like, and serve immediately.
You can use the same method to make lemonade from other citrus fruits, such as oranges, limes or grapefruit. Always use untreated fruit for this, and cut larger fruits into quarters or eighths first.
You can adjust the amount of sugar to taste.
If you’d prefer a fizzy version, add some mineral water after chopping the lemons.
