Pasta with tuna sauce

  • 1 onion (80 g)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 anchovies, tinned
  • 1 tin of tuna in olive oil (185 g)
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 100 ml cold cream (30% fat)
  • 400 g chopped tomatoes, tinned
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

  • 500 g penne
  • 50 g Parmesan (32% fat)
  • ½ bunch of parsley

  1. Put the Parmesan in chunks into the blender jug and, with the measuring beaker in place, chop for 10 seconds/speed setting 10. Transfer to another container.
  2. Wash the parsley, pat dry, tear the leaves from the stalks, put them into the blender jug and, with the measuring beaker in place, chop for 8 seconds/speed setting 6. Remove the chopped leaves and rinse out the blender jug.
  3. Peel and halve the onion, peel the garlic clove, put both into the blender jug and, with the measuring beaker in place, chop them with the turbo button/1 second. Use the spatula to scrape down the inside of the blender jug.
  4. Put the drained and rinsed anchovies and the tuna into the blender jug and, with the measuring beaker in place, chop with the turbo button/1 second. Use the spatula to scrape down the inside of the blender jug. Add the drained capers and, the measuring beaker not inserted, sauté with the roast button/2 minutes/100 °C.
  5. Cook the penne according to packet instructions. Add the cold cream, chopped tomatoes, oregano, lemon juice, ½ teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon of pepper and, with the measuring beaker in place, cook with the reverse button/10 minutes/speed setting 1/100 °C. Season again with salt and pepper and, with the measuring beaker in place, mix in with the reverse button/20 seconds/speed setting 1.
  6. Drain the penne and serve with the tuna sauce, Parmesan and parsley.
