Pear smoothie with bananas
- To crush the ice, process the ice cubes for 20 seconds/speed setting 8, pulsing using the turbo button four or five times. Squeeze the lemon, then wash the pears, pat them dry and cut out the cores. Peel the bananas, then cut the pears and bananas into rough chunks. Place the fruit in the blender jug with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Purée for 50 seconds/speed setting 8 until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add the crushed ice and about 50 ml water, if required, then mix for 30 seconds/speed setting 6 until the smoothie has reached the desired consistency. Transfer the smoothie into glasses and decorate to taste.
