Spicy mince with tomatoes, red pepper and onions
- Peel the onion and garlic, quarter the onion and put both ingredients in the blender jug. With the measuring beaker in place, chop for 8 seconds/speed setting 6. Use the spatula to scrape everything down the inside of the blender jug. Clean and quarter the pepper, wash inside and out and, with the measuring beaker in place, chop for 5 seconds/speed setting 6. Use the spatula to scrape down the inside of the blender jug, add the oil and, the measuring beaker not inserted, sauté using the roast button/3 minutes.
- Add the minced meat and, the measuring beaker not inserted, brown with the roast button.
- Add the warm vegetable stock, sieved tomatoes, rice, salt, pepper, paprika powder and oregano to the meat and, with the measuring beaker in place, simmer using the reverse button/18 minutes/speed setting 1/100 °C. Check once the cooking time has elapsed that the rice is cooked. Extend the cooking time if necessary. Season with paprika powder, salt and pepper to taste.
If you would like the mince spicier, add ¼ teaspoon of chilli powder or a dash of sambal oelek.
