- Place 40 ml of water in the mixing bowl, add the powdered gelatine and leave to rest for 3 minutes. Add the strawberry syrup, sugar and lemon juice and heat for 10 minutes/50 °C/speed setting 1. Pour the fruity gelatine mixture into the heart-shaped silicon mould while still hot and leave to chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, until solid. Carefully lift the hearts out of the moulds, arrange on a plate and chill for a further 3 hours before serving.
TIP: For more intensely coloured strawberry hearts you can add ¼ teaspoon food colouring before the heating step.
