- Add 400 ml water and the sugar to the blender jug and heat for 8 minutes/100 °C/speed setting 2, bringing the mixture to a boil. Set the syrup aside to cool. Meanwhile, wash the strawberries, pat dry and remove the stalks. Sterilize the bottles by placing them in an oven pre-heated to 180 °C for 15 minutes. Add the strawberries, lemon juice and vodka to the syrup and purée for 50 seconds/speed setting 8. Using a funnel, pour the liqueur into the sterilized bottles. Store in the refrigerator. Strawberry liqueur tastes delicious on its own, poured over fruit salad or as a topping for desserts and ice cream.
