Turkey and pasta one-pot

  • 1 red pepper (200 g)
  • 1 medium-sized onion (75 g)
  • 400 g turkey escalopes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 400 g chopped tomatoes, tinned
  • 50 g tomato purée
  • 400 ml hot chicken stock
  • 100 ml cream (30% fat)
  • 1 dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 350 g penne rigate (cooking time: 11 minutes)

  1. Halve and deseed the pepper, remove the stalk and wash inside and out. Cut each half into quarters. Peel and halve the onion, put it into the blender jug along with the pepper, and, with the measuring beaker in place, chop for 8 seconds/speed setting 6. Use the spatula to scrape the pieces down the inside of the blender jug.
  2. Briefly rinse the turkey escalopes and pat them dry. Put the turkey escalopes and olive oil into the blender jug and, the measuring beaker not inserted, fry with the roast button/5 minutes. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato purée, hot chicken stock, cream, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon of pepper and, with the measuring beaker in place, bring everything to a boil with the reverse button/5 minutes/speed setting 1/100 °C.
  3. Add the penne rigate, stir briefly with the spatula, then, the measuring beaker not inserted, cook with the reverse button/time according to pasta packet instructions + 2 minutes/speed setting 1/100 °C.
  4. Meanwhile, wash the basil and shake it dry. Tear off the leaves and cut them into strips. At the end of the cooking time, check whether the pasta is cooked and the liquid has boiled off enough. If necessary, extend the cooking time by a few minutes.
  5. Before serving, carefully stir the turkey and pasta hotpot and season again with salt and pepper, then arrange on plates, scatter over plenty of basil and serve.

 

TIP

This pasta dish also tastes good with mozzarella. Cut a ball of mozzarella into 1-cm cubes and stir them into the pasta with the spatula before serving.
