  • 1 small seedless watermelon (2.5 kg)
  • 130 ml lemon juice
  • 500 ml sparkling mineral water


  • ice cubes or crushed ice, if desired

  1. First, make a sugar syrup from the sugar and 100 ml lukewarm water. Put both in the blender jug and, the measuring beaker not inserted, heat for 5 seconds/speed setting 1/100 °C. Then decant and allow to cool completely.
  2. Quarter the melon, remove any seeds and discard the skin. Place the flesh in pieces in the blender jug with the lemon juice and, with the measuring beaker in place, blend for 30 seconds/speed setting 7.
  3. Add the mineral water and sweeten to taste with the sugar syrup. Best served on crushed ice or with ice cubes.


Delicious on hot summer days and particularly refreshing with a few mint leaves in the glass.

If you like, you can also add slices of lemon or lime to the carafe or use them to decorate the edge of the glass.

As a refreshing evening drink, serve flavoured with vodka, tequila, or gin.
