See the instructions under ‘Settings’ in the tutorials for more detail. (See also the operating instructions under Using the mixing bowl -> Inserting mixing bowl and closing the lid of the mixing bowl.)
Press the symbol for automatic programs on the screen. This will take you to all of the automatic programs. See the instructions under ‘Settings’ in the tutorials for more detail.
See the instructions under ‘Settings’ in the tutorials for more detail. (See also the operating instructions under Scales -> Easy weighing and weighing with the Tare function.)
Safety first: the lid of the mixing container must be tightly closed so that no hot liquids can escape during the blending process; otherwise there is a risk of scalding. If the lid is not properly closed, an information message will appear on the screen and the appliance will either not start or the preparation phase will be interrupted.
Please check that the pot has been inserted the right way around. The pot symbol on the mixing bowl must be at the front (see the operating instructions under Using the mixing bowl -> Inserting the mixing bowl). The pins underneath the mixing bowl must be inserted into the openings provided.
Please check that the plug has been properly inserted into the socket, then press the ON/OFF button on the right-hand side of the appliance.
The speed cannot be increased to any higher than setting 3 at a temperature of over 37 °C.
Using this function allows you to perform tasks like adding more ingredients through the fill opening without having to interrupt the automatic program or the pre-set functions.
Processing vividly coloured foods like carrots, broccoli, pumpkin, curry powder, turmeric, etc. can cause staining to the lid. This is not a material defect and does not present any risk to health. In order to prevent the lid from becoming discoloured, we recommend rubbing the inside of the lid with a little oil. If the lid is already stained, rub it with oil before cleaning, as many natural dyes are fat-soluble. In the event of strong discoloration, it may help to leave the lid out in bright sunlight for a little while, as this can help the staining to fade over time.
If the appliance’s motor has to work particularly hard – when kneading thick dough, for instance – the heat generated by the motor causes a smell. This is no cause for concern – the smell is completely harmless. Give the appliance a break by leaving it to cool off for around 30 minutes before resuming your task.
In order to get a good mixing ratio, the motor runs irregularly on the lower settings. This is pre-set for the automatic programs. If this puts too much strain on the appliance, give it a break by leaving it to cool off for around 30 minutes before resuming your task.
Check whether the lid is on properly. If the lid seal or the seal beneath the blade are not fitted properly, this can result in liquid escaping. Insert the seal and check that it is in the correct position. Damaged seals must be replaced, and the appliance must not be used until this has been done.
In order to disconnect the appliance from the mains, press the ON/OFF switch on the lower right-hand side of the appliance. In order to disconnect the power supply completely, remove the plug from the socket.
It does this to save electricity. If it is not used for a few minutes, the Monsieur Cuisine connect automatically goes into standby mode. A warning will appear on the screen beforehand. In standby mode the appliance is using less than 1 watt, but is ready to use immediately at any point.
The Monsieur Cuisine connect can be woken up / activated simply by pressing the control knob.
Check whether the steamer attachment is properly in place and that the steaming function is switched on. You can select this via the basic/automatic program and then by pressing the START button (see operating instructions in the Steaming section). This initiates a 10-minute heating-up phase, which allows the appliance to reach the required temperature. The steaming process only begins once this phase is complete. Check that there is enough liquid in the mixing bowl.
This function can only be activated by keeping the TURBO symbol pressed down. Press the TURBO symbol on the screen and hold it down for a few seconds. The appliance will stop as soon as you stop pressing the button. Repeat the process if you do not yet have the consistency that you want.
The TURBO selection function only works:
- if the appliance has already been started;
- if no automatic program has been selected;
- if the temperature of the food is below 60 °C.
Apart from the basic appliance itself, all of the parts are dishwasher safe. Always remove the blade from the mixing bowl and take off the seals. Place these in the dishwasher separately.
If your appliance is switched on but is not responding or allowing you to adjust any settings, you will need to restart it. To do this, switch the ON/OFF switch on the right-hand side of the appliance to 0 and wait for 30 seconds. Then turn the ON/OFF switch back to I to switch on the appliance.
